Sigh

My old friend came to visit

He sits and sips coffee

He talks about Lola

and that she still knows me

And how strongly she insists

that her child, is my child

Oh why

Oh why

Just please let me die

My wife visits daily

She always sits right beside me

She tells me, she loves me

And then she reminds me

About the taxes I should pay

and the churches I should visit

When I get out

If I get out

I don't want to get out

Oh why

Oh why

Just please let me die

The nurse knocks and enters

She says, "Guess what you have a guest!"

It was my only daughter

She always sits on the bed's corner

Not really surprising

She always talks about her boyfriend

Even less surprising

Her boyfriend enters and greets me

That was surprising

Oh why

Oh why

Just please let me die

Night falls and darkness surrounds me

My heart skips a beat

And my breathing becomes heavy

I struggle for air

But my strength slowly leaves

My senses become blurry

My body eventually becomes heavy

Thank you

Thank you

I can finally die...

But then the doctor comes in

Dressed in white

and indomitable will

He's here to stop me

But that won't be

He won't get the chance

All he'll be able to do is take off his coat

And tell the time of my triumph

Finally

Finally

It all ends here

I open my eyes

The sun's rays hit my pupils

I see the nurse beside me

White all over

Then she breaks into song

Singing about the Doctor's great skill

And she exclaims how this was a miracle

While feeding me bland gruel

Oh why

Oh why

Just please let me die

Thought Provoking Writing

Let me die because I'm close to the grave or just let me die because the living who taunt me make me want to die or both or more...see, got me thinking. Looking forward to more songs~~A~~
