Passionfruit Place

Bamboo shoots

By the creek we walk

By on our hike to the

Waterfall

Where you slip in knee deep

On smooth stones till you're

Layed back hair still raven black but

Now wet and cold

You become a goddess when you

Come up again

Walking carefully like a first step

Mermaid

Sun through baobab leaves

You smile and tear open the yellow

Fruit scattered on the rainforest floor

This is our secret passionfruit place

The juice spilling out and all over you

Sticky sweet

The best Iv'e ever tasted

Exquisitely beautiful; the

Exquisitely beautiful; the imagery of the setting perfectly supports the experience the poem narrates!
