Song for a Dying Christian

"Where It Always Is Morning"

(Chorus) Where the sun never sets,

where it always is morning.

The Lord is our light,

never dimming or turning.

We're with Him at home,

no sadness on mourning

where the sun never sets,

where it always is morning.

(1)

Here it may seem

we're surrounded by sorrow.

Summer soon past,

its flowers all fade.

But our sure reward

will not fade with tomorrow;

ever the same...

that's what Heaven is for.

(Chorus)

(2)

Child of a day,

of a year, or few moments,

your hand is surely,

strongly held by God's own.

our strength is but weakness,

of trials & torments,

til He takes our hands

and says,"Welcome home."

(Chorus)

(3)

Look all around

how earth's glories are fading.

dust back to dust,

but God's Spirit still lives.

Our Father stands

waiting, beckoning, smiling.

Give Him the glory

for the grace that He gives.

(Chorus)

( 4 )

Morning, sweet morning !

My soul is now resting !

Home with my Savior,

Master & Lord.

Eternal rest, eternal rejoicing.

Heaven my hope,my joy,my reward.

(Chorus)
