oak and willow grant similar energy
and give power of ages.
Walk slowly between
two aisles
Stand on tiptoe if you
must.
use your soil to
bend with
closed eyes
breathing
deeply
a fragrance that gathers
in still air under your
face
until
you feel ready.
And if it all seems,
then lean with
ears close to
a knobbly
sturdy root.
Trees are talking
and drumming
and strumming.
That's been echoing
forever on this earth,
Just like trees, in all honesty, do
Virtuoso of resonance
I cannot quite explain why,
I cannot quite explain why, but this poem impressed me in ways I cannot describe.
