Mornings

When I wake up and see your face,

I simply cannot believe my eyes.

A gorgeous man locked in my embrace,

Such a wonderful surprise.

But we cannot lie in bed forever,

Although it would be so nice indeed.

Love me now and leave me never,

I wish love were guaranteed.

Just like life, love's too short,

There's never quite enough time.

Our mornings together I hate to abort,

They're more than just sublime.

But you have to leave to go to work,

And until you come home, I go berserk.

Good write. I hate to go to work and leave my wife. Works from home and takes care of our moms. Yes, that is plural, as in both moms. I wrote a poem called 30 minutes that runs along the same lines. http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/poems/105/poem_91015339.html
