I love his hair,

My parents hate it.

His tattoos are great,

My parents despise them.

The piercings are cool,

It scares my mom.

I GUESS THEY WANT ME TO FALL IN LOVE WITH AN AMISH GUY.


Author's Notes/Comments: 

I assume that many people my age can relate to this, whether it's with themselves, or someone that they know or love.  It just goes to show how different one generation can be from another.

This poem's an orginal that describes an evergrowing reality in our society- our elders cannot or just choses not to understand us, or our mates!
