Finally

I am unsure of the pleasure I am feeling,
Or the joy in my heart;
And I cannot quite seem to understand you.
I think I love you more than words can say.
Overwhelming belief grows fonder within me,
As control slips my fingers,
And I gaze your way.
I was hoping you could explain this to me;
Is this love or infatuation—
Fogging my mind?
Afraid to move close, for fear you are untrue
Scared if I love you, I'll be left behind
The words freeze on the tip of my tongue,
As my heart shudders this innocence.
Maybe I have found my heart's love...
Finally.

It's infatuation that you are experiencing, love doesn't fog a persons mind with overflowing pleasure receptors. Love is cultivated by knowledge and time, infatuation is a bursting sensation confused with love, likely because people love feeling infatuated with someone despite their lack of knowledge or time spent with the person their infatuated with. :)

That "I feel like I've know him all my life" comes from infatuation, not love.
