A TORTURED CONFIDANT

If I was to die today,

Would you remember me,

Or would I be forgotten,

Do you have room for my memory.

I've touched a lot of people,

As a light in the dark,

Trying to guide their way,

Through times cold and stark.

Jaded by a most painful past,

Forced to suffer alone,

I could not stand aside,

To let another heart turn to stone.

Though one voice among many others,

I whisper in the crowd,

Endeavoring to bring you hope,

To lift your painful shroud.

I care not for fame or fortune,

I'm just a simple tortured soul,

Intimate with pain and strife,

Wishing to keep you whole.

Shattered beyond what I was,

Remolded to what I've become,

Striving to help all others,

Before they give up and succumb.

I might not know you well,

Or even not at all,

I love you just the same,

I will not let you fall.

If I was to die today,

Would you remember me,

Or would I be forgotten,

Faded like fog from your memory.

Staying Afloat

the Come Back Kid  is my handle. No going back and no one will drag me anywhere. All steps lead up. You are a star. Heaven is up. Go!

  You have an inspiring

You have an inspiring empathic heart...

not a single drop of love you have given

others has been wasted
