I haven't prayed in a long time

But last night

Last night, I prayed

I asked God to let me know

When you were no more

I asked Him for mercy

And to forgive me

Because I only wished to out live you

I prayed that you would go peacefully

Except for the last minute

Please God, I asked

Let him know hurt

Give him lonliness

I am not asking you God

To torture him

Just give him a glimpse

Of the places I have had to live

Of the rage I carry

And the silence I endure

Please God take him into your embrace

Give him peace

I only ask that he hurt for a brief moment first
