Nightingale

Secular Poetry

Mysterious winds sweep the plains

Casting their lot in the game of life.

Swirling mists devour the earth

As darkness enfolds the realms of Time.

A wistful dream echoes throughout infinity,

Spinning inside the faint white line

That separates insanity from wisdom.

Trees sway and leaves dance

To the music of the ageless stars.

Creation's passionate cry arises to the heavens

All the earth sings as one.

Oceans of glass raise their fists to the moon

Expelling their rage against the cruelty of life.

Bitter tears cascade from the skies,

Replenishing the barren, dusty lands

As the nightingale's cry enters my heart and stills my soul.

This is just really, really beautiful. It's the imagery, and it just gives some great pictures. You've done a marvelous job with this, bravo!
