TURBANED ROSE

A garden of roses

.. each male wearing

a turban of petals

...all pour fragrance

to the life of

Guru Nanak

BLACKBERRY THICKET

A welcome throne

of thorns for

rabbits

seeking sanctuary

was in a ravine by

a croquet course...

It

was a blackberry bush

thicket

.. .. Chipmunks

felt it a miracle

.. an horizon frigate..

a paradise ticket..

.. .. so did the

more vulnerable

violin legged

crickets

but those retrieving

croquet balls

told the thicket

to go stick it

SQUIRREL SPIRALS

Squirrels

spiral in swirls

when they take

the tree..

but go in straight

lines when they

use fire escapes

WEAVING WINGS

The sight of him! long needles of light knit

.. of a sudden weaving wings for my heart!

SATINDER

One bright sunny day in September..

we were told by kind Sikh Satinder

...planes make much noise..

and the more rapidly moving

earth makes none..

.. it is wise the perfection

of God to remember

. Blackberry Thicket

. Satinder

. Squirrel Spirals

. Turbaned Rose

. Weaving Wings
