What if I never loved you?

Her hair fills my garbage can

Her sent my broken bed sheets

Her smile my waking mind

Her touch my nervous system

Her voice drowns in my ears

Her skin becomes my skin

And I have never felt more like a failure

Than I do when I watch her sleep

Dreaming of the world I will build her

From her hair filling my garbage can

And her sent upon my broken bed sheets

I love this poem, especially these lines,

"And I have never felt more like a failure

Than I do when I watch her sleep

Dreaming of the world I will build her",

as I watch my oldest discovering life is hard and my youngest preparing for college. Great write! ;-)
