Solid advice from a solid friend

I am physically fulfilled and emotionally alone

At odds with my own body

Two halves of me it’s whole

One satisfied and lingering on desire to try again

One terrified and shaking wanting things to end

The emotional part takes

The emotional part takes therapy, sometimes just a kind listening ear....of which there many, if you really want one. The physical part takes touch and physical interaction. This does not have to mean engaging in intimacy with another, but it can. I would recommend massage therapy for anyone who has been through a rape. The body remembers what the mind will refuse, or suppress, and I see women who drag out their pain by not utilizing this wonder modality now becoming so commercialized when it should really be mainstream medicine. America has not only a country full of backwards women and men when it comes to their sexuality, they have a medical system that is bereft of of staffers, or concept of what a healthy sexuality is. It's really pitiful. Just reach beyond the 'norm' and take care of you, because you will be lucky if there is anyone else who has the capacity to. So many hangups here about sexuality. Maybe you are lucky and do not live in the states! ;-)

Hopefully this isn't even about you!!  Peace. :-)

...and he asked her, "do you write poetry? Because I feel as if I am the ink that flows from your quill."

"No", she replied, "but I have experienced it. "

:) I am lucky my dear I am in

:) I am lucky my dear I am in Canada. And yes I have had many different forms of massage thearapy to deal with the rape, including emotional trigger point massage. it is AMAZING the stuff we store in our bodies :) I have also done a ton of work on getting past it, emotionally, mentally and physically :) so don't you worry :)

Thanks for the comment :) it is nice to see someone else who has a wholistic view of health, it is true the body will remember what the mind refuses and suppresses :)

Much Love
