Death

Death.

A part of life they say?

We are all heading the same way.

Six Feet under,

Heaven’s wonder.

Or burned in a blazing fire,

Ashes scattered, or kept to admire.

If death is so normal in this domain,

Then why does it cause so much pain?

I don’t want to see my family die,

I never want to use the word ‘goodbye’.

But one day in time I know it will be,

When time has slipped away from me.

Into the coffin I shall go,

And slowly lowered down below.

But what wonders are yet to discover?

Is there another world for us to uncover?

Or are we left to lie in state,

With people walking above us, in so much hate?

Time is precious, do be wise,

Now is not a time to despise,

For regret is a fate worse than death,

Which will stay with you until your dying breath.
