My Way

How do I take care,

How do I fake it,

Don't want to be complacent,

So must I fake it to make it?

Will that be enough?

These times are getting rough

How do I make it,

How do I chase it,

Don't want to break it, my composure

I just want it to be over

Will that be enough?

These times are getting tough

Forget it, my way shall be acquitted

I'll admit it, conformity never fitted

I can make it, the moment can't be forsaken

I promise myself one last trouble,

Times can be hard and vile,

Even when I'm a babbling blunder,

I'll finish with a smile.

A Fine 2 Lines

"How do I make it,/How do I chase it," - when read aloud, the second line is softer, muted - and just fine. "fitted" was funny. slc

Do it your own and and be

Do it your own and and be yourself.
