Lessons

You can't set fire to what has already been burned
My heart may be blackened but I have learned
There's a price to pay to become wise
It involved drowning in deep blue eyes
He now drowns in liquor and beer
But my path couldn't be more clear
He wasn't for me and that's ok
I sure hope he finds his own way
I'm moving forward, no looking back
I'm counting my blessings, no losing track
This boy sure taught me a lesson
Now listen up, class is in session
Happiness is about finding yourself
Not keeping old memories stored on a shelf

Strong Message

This is something we all do at some point. Think about things that could've been, or should've been. Dwelling on the past is unhealthy, we should always live for the present, and look to the future. Thanks for sharing!
