Endlessly

Boarded one too many ships,

Headed the wrong way,

And even though I love the sea,

Too often I stray,

To the wrong side of the ocean,

To the wrong side of the sea,

Rocking slowly back and forth,

Endlessly.

Vast, the waters wide,

And deep, the waters blue,

And though I love to travel,

I stray too far from you,

To the wrong side of the water,

To the wrong side of the sea,

This torment in all our lives,

Endlessly.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This poem was written for John before we admitted our love for eachother. The waters being the ocean that keeps us away from eachother.
