Values

Spirtuality

I don't care about the money

jobs are just pointless

Material things don't please me

you can keep them all

All I ever really wanted

was someone to love and hold

I want to have a family

a kid to call my own

I long to be a father

of a loving Family

I want a wife

who would be a great mother

I don't care where we live

as long as theirs food on the table

Rich or poor, it does not matter

as long as my kids love their Father

God will always be with me

so material things can shove it

In the end nothing else matters

except the love of my wife and kids

Some people say you need college

others might want a fancy job

Many people dream of being Famous

I just want to be happy

Author's Notes/Comments:

I couldn't think of what to call this... I just put Values cause that's what the poem is about... btw, Am I just being unrealistic?

Love is the only thing that can defeat the evils of our modern world. There was a time when the word "LOVE" ment something. Today its thrown around like a rag. People think that love is only an action between two people, and It's not. Love is more then that, it's about being there for one another no matter what the circumstances. It's about standing with each other against any and all odds. It's about forgiving when forgiveness isn't warranted. In the bible Jesus speaks all the time on how loving one another is the most important of all things. When we exemplify the love god has for us through ourselves towards others, we plant a seed of love with in them that God will help grow. So is what you seek unrealistic? No, because God has already made it real for us. We only need to seek it, and he will take care of the rest. If you are still looking for a better title for this may I suggest this "God's Quest for All Mankind." I really enjoyed reading this. Look forward to reading more. Take care and God bless my friend.

Hi Alexander, I really like this and can relate to it. Let me tell you from first hand experience, when I married at 23yrs old myhusband came from large family of 5 kids me from family of two kids. Neither family had lots of moneybut there was lots of love. Steve and I had two kids and our kids had more valueable things in emotion of a family then any material worth could ever give and a value system as well. Today my son is a bio teacher,my dtr an accountant. She has a little boy age 8yr and is a single mom but she sees the beauty in life . Yes values are very important! Great write!
