"Sense O' Genesee"

I taste so deeply
all I perceive
to be the sense
O'Genesee
I'm bold yet useless
to her behalf
behold my muse's
seducing laugh
as I search for useful
excuses for
the smile her perfect
lips implore.
swan-neck poise
and giraffe smiles
peek as half-asleep
crocodiles
yet still resemble
tender fawns
strong-legged, sturdy
now she's gone
the intense recollection
of indifference she shows
masks density as
her intelligence slows
my invested interest
that has never earned
windfalls save for
when she returns
but until then, my tears,
in a gentle parade
fall like her scent
in magnificent bouquets
floating in air
she's exhaled out
onto my face,
into my doubts
I breathe in deeply all I see
to be the sense

O'Genesee

This was a great read. It flowed very easily. Your imagery is incredible! It formed an image of great beauty in my mind - a tall, slim & poised - half woman, half innocent child. So much was said & felt. I loved it. Keep on posting. Amy
