CONFLICT

CONFLICT

Conflict between man and beast commenced in prehistoric age;

But then, Man succeeded ultimately in usurping territories;

He then raced against time and nature with his mean machines;

Not knowing for sure, what he was up against, he erred;

Nevertheless, he brought his downfall to immolate himself by warming Earth.

Atomic fission, he knew would raze the world to ground zero;

Yet, he ventured to confront his own race, not minding the fatal consequence.

A fragile child he was and quite blemish less his mind was;

No conflict he had, as he could make no enemies to fight against;

But then, his contradictory thoughts made him invent his enemies.

Oh, Man!  Where your mind and body would be, after death? A wild guess, I reckon;

Yet, you prefer to harm your physical health which is the source of your off-spring;

Your reluctance to compromise and live in peace with fellow beings makes you a devil;

Why not you preserve your ‘Earthly-body’ so that you harm nothing on way;

If not, the conflict between you and your turbulent mind would bring `Doomsday`!

Hey, You! You are a warring group! Though you appear to be civilized,

You seem to be barbaric, for you use your intelligence to set the world ablaze;

You are least bothered about this incredible World that gives you an amazing life

But you promote cancer to future generations by committing nuclear crimes!

So silly you seem, as you have conflict of interest which makes you so egoistic!

No doubt, your eccentric nature cares too little for the ‘Baby of Tomorrow’!

Who is to call it a halt and douse the flame to save this pleasant, fabulous world?

‘Religious intolerance’ is quite a deadly weapon for narrow-minded heads;

Caste and creed stick on to poverty stricken people who maim and kill using weapons;

Just cast away your conflicting interests to lead an exciting but peaceful life!

The world is too big with complex people raking up issues day after day. Media spins money out of it, We,the gullible common-man - , take everything for truth though they may be all one sided opinions. Present generation will leave hopeless. I hope that the future generations are morally guided by their conscience. Best wishes for a happy Diwali ~B~

Mr. Bishu,

Not much of interest now a days to post poems.  This, I think, I posted after a gap of two months.  Thanks for your usual appreciation and inspiration.  Though the politicians infest almost all areas, this is the only area that's left untouched, I think.  Hope they don't intrude this field not withstanding the return of awards by literary people.  But for that, I hope you had a nice Pooja Celebration. Now, you must be looking for a grand 'Deepavali' celebration.  Wish you a happy Deepavali.  Thanks for your wishes.
