You Amaze Me

How do you do so much in a day

how does your energy come into play

where does it stem from

can I have some

Though I am inspired

always too tired

too much desired

hot wired

connection lost

at what cost

to do all that needs to be done

laziness or exhaustion has won

not sure which one

being overwhelmed you know

makes it so hard to go

get things done

find time for fun

take time to set a goal

get myself on a roll

with the flow

you  know

energy is so low

ok gotta go

can you help me

what is your recipe

need to know

how to get energy flow

I dare

you to share

if you care

please go there

comment please

realize

need to energize

energize me

with your sincerity

integrity

teach me, let me learn

how I yearn

to be like you

can you see me through

Author's Notes/Comments:

People with lots of energy and real go-getters, workaholics, people who live their dreams and know what that means....people who know what they want and go for it...and find time to just do it all and keep it all together really amaze me...and this poem is dedicated to them and hope I will find a friend who can tell me how they do this so I can....Ruth, just reading your emails and poetry...and guess what you inspired me yet again...thanks so much for your inspiration for this poem....even tho long time no see, always in heart and mind and soul must mention David and Lenny of the James Dean Gallery in Indiana...long time no see but love them like family and they know why they totally amaze me and feel like family...Pam

Hi Pam, thanks for this piece. I laughed when you called me a workaholic. No, actually I spend more time on road and with paperwork and going to the office then with health clients at this point. I love this work with the one on one personal attention, Far better then nursinghomes understaffed, paying low, not giving quality time to residents and respect to the cna's. This is bouncing between three towns right now but havent built to 40 hours yet. It's a slow build but it's wonderful work with education in life experience mine and theirs. I only work 6-9 M-thur at the night job so inbetween people I shop,do laundry, catch up mail,em, bills, what ever needs doing. Some days are longer then others but I like being on the go. As to how I do it, well I look at what the day to day schedule is,figure what I can do in alotted amt of time in between clients and night job and give other stuff a schedule. I generally write at night once home -no interuptions and sometimes input early in the morning before I go to work if I have time. When I have travel to 8am people I don't always get that chance but if in town starting at 9 I most the time do. Besides gives me chance to check em, see critiques etc etc. You always find a way when you want to do something. Sometimes I have to say no it simply won't get done today because I'm too tired and I let it ride but that's rare. Thanks again
