through my soul's memories
I see cliffs
amid cold, choppily foamed seas
wind whipping haphazard hair
this way and that
Icy sheets wallop a lone form
from my foggy thoughts
that's what I gleam
longing lingers upon features
so hollowed and forlorn
death whispers back from across
the ages
the soul corresponds
quite ravaged
as ice slips into my vanquished veins
slowly, I come to realize
that figure I see is me
I killed myself when I was she
I'd lost the love of my life
in a terribly tragic war
so flinging my frozen, bitter self carelessly
into what felt like razors as I hit the icy water
of that angrily churning sea
was the only answer I could come up with
to combat my overwhelming grief
but death it seems
did not quite become me
for into other lives my soul was redeemed
funny I should think of that
with other worldly where with how
just as I awake to this life to enjoy
the power of now..............

I'm so glad you liked it. I have been watching a show on televisoin IMN Channel Saturday nights at 10pm about regressing people into their past lives and it inspired this in me. Some handsome guy I forget his name but he kind of looks like Carson Daily and he hypnotizes people and helps them to work out problems they have by regression into past lives. It seem spretty real especially when under hypnoisis they speak other languages like French and he can communicate with them in that language but when they are awakened from their hypnotic state they cannot understand a single word he says to them in French. That is amazing oh and then he verifies who they say they are under hypnosis via birth and death and census records or via names of churches and the like that they say they attended and in what year. It is utterly fascinating and you can't help but begin to believe that all of us have lived a number of lives prior to this one. Some just carry over unfinished fear or business into their present life others it woudl seem do not have that problem and can lead their current life without any obvious disturbance from the last one. Anyway, if you live in the US I hope you can catch an episode if you do not then I hope you can find an episode on say youtube and watch it there. I think you would really enjoy it fully if you liked my poem here so very much. Again thank you for your kind words. Most Sincerely, Melissa
