you are so far from me

you said

as if

the words were tortured

out of you

and yet

in the depth of one particular

manner

that of recognition

via instantaneous connection

know that

I am right up against you

so tight and close

that I simply can not breath

without taking in further

the aroma of

your just being you

how sweet the smell of such

knowing is

you are mine

the net we have created

in and around ourselves

is impervious to

the world's opinion

I defy any judgment

that would have me

living the rest of my days

as physically far from you

now as I am at this very moment

because the mere thought of you

makes tomorrow

a place I aspire to journey to

to reunite with a life

I have missed for more years

than i can adequately confess

to remembering

I can't promise you forever bliss

without any form of conflict

but I can promise you always

love
