the emptiness yawns

the depth of my stupid heart

has been revealed

the desire was butchered

into a cold dead lump

of unrecognizable meat

pulp even

the lot of it

he feels nothing much

and I feel much of nothing

just numb

and cold

how it hurts to be so easily

dismissed

he never cared all that much

I was just a stupid means

to an end

forever the painted  fool

with the top coat

being

the cheapest of all  final
