THE RESSURECTION OF THAT FAMOUS DREAM

Folder:
JOURNAL #33

they killed the dreamer

but not the dream

change indeed has flowed

beyond her river's banks

how proud yet sad ye must be

unity yes in streams

while distance lays wide open

in fields of perpetual

misunderstanding

hate still makes her tracks

in some men's hearts

and distrust lays in wait in others

we are united yes under one banner

we stand as American

but divided by some landscapes of hate

yet thats why I feel even more so that

Mr. Obama has resurrected the dream

and Americans are quick to heal

nicks, scrapes, gouges, scars and even

noose bruisings of another era

finally

America will step away from her

hateful, hurtful past

a whole and better country

with all citizens proud of their

diversified heritage

while backing a candidate of such grace

who just so happens to be black

while behind him his counter part

a strong, white, for the people, fair

woman

be proud America you fostered and formed

these two amazing individuals

in the churning of your embarrassing youth

and growing pains

Dr. King said We Will Over Come

now I believe we can shout

in many ways

WE HAVE Over Come

and blessedly in more ways than one

I sing

let the rejuvenation of our GREAT AMERICA

begin

whether its come November or even better yet

come now..........
