WHEREVER THE WHEELS MAY ROLL US

Folder:
JOURNAL #9

Now in the night I can smell the wind

I hear honesty in the creaking eves

and confessions in every bend

nature speaks to me of promises held captive

by a once hostile heart

and from my churlish chest anger is withdrawn quickly

like that of a poisonous dart

is there truly a safe haven to be found somewhere

beneath the wind's billowing skirts

slowly across my  naked for arms a frisky warm rain

outrageously flirts

and I find I can feel at peace even with fear so close

at my calloused heels

like the breeze in my face knows how death and its loss

unbelievably feels

John Lennon summed it up best when he sung of being

content to merely "Watch The Wheels"

after all why worry when one day death will cancel out

any previous ordeals

there will never be nor come any specific time to each of

us like the present

for the future is at best uncertain

but with scientific data it is projected to appear

rather complex and lingeringly unpleasant.........
