beneath the high brow of society's selective eye

there lies entrapped a subtle form of contempt

most prefer to deny

though the mixed blood of hatred is kept in check

much of the time in public today

there still are people who swarm to change and or

destroy others of whom speak differently in each their

own prospective say

and we the viewing audience are allowed to speculatively

participate through the right giving means of our

overly available T.V. sets

Vietnam was the start of BEING RIGHT THERE in battle

where as Dessert Storm cleaned up the act

so to not further haunt the late 60's vets

I personally can not imagine going to war for whatever

the reason or cause

such acts of death, violence and anonymous murder

give me a necessary moment and concern for pause

I am not a violent sort but I have watched many

constructed acts of violence for entertainment purposes

alone

to the point where I'm almost immune to all the violence,

blood, horror and murder that are repeatedly shown

how very ironic to abhor all brutal aspects of war

but enjoy the rental of horror movies at your local

video store

the most dangerous movies of all being the ones based

upon true stories

how so very innocent our individual tastes were back in say

the fifties when the scariest pictures were the gories

perhaps, since we can not get away from the violence and

the raw exploitation of it

we can instead protect yet distance ourselves all the same from

the crimes themselves and the punishment each act would fit...........
