DRIZZLING

Folder:
Acrostic

D rops falling softly against my bare skin

R ain in it's infancy misty and thin

I run out and into it so I can see

Z est-giving freshness spray upon me.

Z -z-z-z-z is the soft sound the drizzling makes,

L anquid and lazy through the leaves it now snakes.

I cannot imagine a shower more grand,

N ow raising my arms toward the heavens I stand.

G o spend time at Jekyll and wade in the sea.

I'd rather be right here with this drizzle on me.

you are a muse to most of
us who read your poems..
your words touch the chords
of memory.. and
we are then strumming our songs

thank you

I love the rain and this poem is so full of descriptive words, it's beautiful. Thank you for reading my poem Fishermans Bay. Nature is so clever, how lovely that you can walk through such pretty surroundings. I liked your paintings. We go on a barge holiday and that takes you through some great countryside away from the busy every day life style. I cannot paint but having said that I have never really tried. My friend and her who will be joining us with her husband and mine, suggested only a couple of weeks ago for me to have a try at watercolours while we are on the long boat. I think I may have more success with paint by numbers...we will see!
Thank you once again and blessings

Nice acrostic! Take a look at my poem "Rainy Day Amazement" for a similar thought.
