How can you say you love me

If you judge all that I do?

Question everything I do?

Get mad at me for anything I do?

I try and explain what I do

And try to let you see

But you only get mad at me.

No matter what I try

I cannot please you with anything

Nothing is good enough for you.

I only want to make you smile

But when I try, you get mad

You say everytime I try, I mess up.

How can nothing be good enough

If I am the one you love?

How can I always screw up

When I try so hard not to?

How can you love me

If you do not trust me?

I have never done anything to misplace

All the trust you have given me;

But maybe you do not really love me.

And you just cannot see

That being around me now

Is the last place you want to be.

Because everything I do

Is always wrong or hurtful to you.

But just so you know

No matter what you say or how you act

I love you, I do.
