Slowly the sun sets

And the stars come out one by one

I make a wish upon those stars

That you are safe, and I'll see you again

Simple wishes from a lonely heart

Longing for the one it loves



Slowly the stars fade

The sky lightens as the sun rises

Another day has come; This one brings

The surprise of seeing you again

After being apart, it's wonderful

Just to be wrapped up warm in your arms

A sensation of love flows through me

Returning the peace that you took

While you were away from me
