Rome of Old

i was afraid to lose you, so i looked to other way. Your lies betray you, turning you transparent, and i see threw. But what can i do, except look you in the face, while you try to keep your composure solid. My trust broken but love still intact. These  years which i hold so dear are gone . Yet i still linger. The fall of an empire that attempts to rise again, it will never be what it was, but we will stand. Rome of old, it seems so long ago. I called your walls home, and scaled your stones. And when honor was questioned, i questioned not. Sweet rome, she is ruin, but beautie still holds, and i hold to the hope that once again, she will  be truly beautiful.

Oh, rome of old, how i remember.
