Her Savior

A love,
Born from the ashes of hate,
Occurred on that fateful day.

Her hands,
Bound behind her back,
Had numbed.
Her legs were tied together.

Suddenly, she was slung,
Onto the boney shoulder,
Of her captor.
She was his pride.

Her long red hair,
Was the only thing free.
She used her bound hands,
To pull strand after strand out,
And dropped it,
On the forest floor.

Others had given up,
But he didn’t.
Though she was loud,
She was still his comrade.

A faint strand of red,
Caught his eye.
He followed them,
Running as fast as he could.

Her captor stopped to rest,
Propping her against a tree,
She prayed someone would find her.
She didn’t care whom.

He crouched in the bushes,
His eyes on her,
His eyes on the man.
He’s ready when he gets the chance.

She started crying.
No one was coming for her.
She was going to die,
And no one would care.

The man turned his back,
Facing her.
He sprung from the bushes,
Intent on saving her.

He took out her captor.
He saved her,
Right when she was about to lose hope.
Her savior.

Her violet eyes met his blue,
His blonde hair accented his face.
He was carrying her home,
A bond now foraged.
