The Things That You Do (They Don't Make Sense)

say it's you vers's the world
goliath in your face
you throw a rock at the world
the earth just laughs

"thank you for giving
a part of me back"
the things that you do
they don't make sense

every now and then
a volcano explodes
can't comprehend
it's going no where
what goes up,
just to fall back to the crust
once more seal itself up
boil under the skin

you lash out at the world
atlas shrugs
you throw a rock at the sky
cry when it falls

hate life for giving
a part of you back
the things that you do
they don't make sense

Well, I hope she doesn't

Well, I hope she doesn't smile too hard. I never read her book.

Part II delayed by the weather - window opened up for critical early season planting. But rain is moving in, so the pen can be awoken from it's slumber and hopefully do some good work of it's own : )

Anthem, We The Living*, Fountainhead, Atlas Shrugged - Ayn rocks!

Read in high school.  I skipped long passages on Capitalism - good stories. Polit lit like Fathers And Sons.

I dearly miss you being here.

I dearly miss you being here. Your energy, your insight, your perspectives. An encourager, in addition to being an expander of edges - I thank you, and I hope you're out there in the world to eventually return. Most of all, I hope that where ever you are, the universe is keeping up with your passion for exploration, experience, voice and life.
