The Least of These

At the epicenter of hiroshima

You vaporized me

What you do to the least of these

You terrorized me

You tortured me once again

And you buried me in broken brick

You gave me, a burning village's kid,

Family love up in smoke,

The scent of the greatest sin,

Instead of frankensence

The smell of burning skin

And that, the greatest offense

Greater than killing me in my name,

He'll say

You decided others lives

Were worth less than your own

Children,

Children,

Children worst of all

Jesus has a machine gun

He'll be mowing you down

At the gates of heaven

He's perched out in a tower

He's perched out in a tower

Here come your parents

At the gates of heaven

He's mowing down your parents

And, yea, he's waiting for you

He's not gonna let you hurt them again

He's protecting the little children

Generations have seen

Fit to be machine gun targets

Protecting the least

The least of these harmed and dead

Cause you said "me?, no, better them"

In a sense you, too, made kids human shields

As you powdered the other cheek,

The smell of burning skin

Greater than killing me in my name,

He'll say

You decided others lives

Were worth less than your own

Children,

Children,

Children worst of all

Jesus has a machine gun

He'll be mowing you down

At the gates of heaven

He's perched out in a tower

He's perched out in a tower

Here come your parents

At the gates of heaven

He's mowing down your parents

And, yea, he's waiting for you

He's not gonna let you hurt them..again

Jesus has the machine gun now

He'll be mowing you down

At the gates of heaven

He'll be mowing you down

I can't be making this up,

If you say that The Word is real

Like your type say to gays

"I'm the messenger not the judge"

If you say that He's real

Because I know well what Jesus said

What so ever you do...

What so ever you do...

Jesus has a machine gun

Jesus has a machine gun

It's christian to protect

The children at all cost

The gospel according to matthew,

He's gonna put you down

Jesus, He's got the machine gun now

Cause in this life, what you do to the least of these

Yea, you gunned Him down

But Jesus, he's got the machine gun now

..................................

It's easy to condemn

Everyone else to death

Without looking at the ways

You contradict yourself

But it's best to remove

The plank from your eye first

Lest you just end up providing

Wood for the cross

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a mirror of the christian word, for the war-cheering christian to think about. But, also, something we should all reflect upon - how often are we contradicting ourselves when we condemn others?

Historical War

The biggies have all been backed by beliefs in dieties - in god's name - whatever god's name. Or all of them. Bombs are commodities for sale to governments - giagantic business historically. Ending air would be easier - slc

Often, though most of human

Often, though most of human history has been connected to a belief in a higher power, so it's tricky to say how much is causation, not just correlation. We've also seen aggressive empires like the Soviet Union, whom did not recognize a higher power at the State level. Any ideology, with or without a god, can become fanatical and authoritorian, if not carefully examined constantly from within, whether it is due ignoring the contridictions I tried to point out in this piece, or for some other reason. Fanaticism often cherry picks and creates double standards, judging itself and it's followers by lesser standards than it holds the rest of the world.

Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts - fully agreed that bombs are business, and business doesn't care about human life, other than if it's profitable to save it. When it's profitable to take it, there will not be a blink of the eye. We've recently seen this with the Supermax plane crashes, as well. Problems were ignored which would surely lead to mass death, because it was deemed profitable to release the new aircraft anyway.
