Desolation

While our people disgrace the earth,
God and devil conspire as one.
Idols and prayers bent to knee
While our saviors go unsung.

It's written in the webs we weave,
It's reeking in the snares we set.
We tie loose ends to make amends,
Erasing what we can't forget.

You're burning holes in your logic.
Bleeding just to numb the pain.
Six foot holes for God who knows,
Shattered souls suspended in feign.

Empires erased as Sodom and
Gomorrah fall from grace,
Though we never saw the children
That we left behind.
Desolation drives the eye of the storm,
Composed of chaos to see her
Daughters run blind.
