What If?
What if the oceans one day went dry?
If the sun one day fell out of the sky?
What if one day the rain did not fall?
Would anyone even notice at all?
Would people be too busy to see?
The world falling away from you and me?
Would everybody be too wrapped up in daily life?
To barely appreciate what keeps them alive?
If one day the world became too polluted to breathe?
Would anyone stop to think about a sheath (of protection)?
What if the oceans one day went dry?
What if the sun one day fell out of the sky?
Why wouldn't anyone be afraid to die?
What if nobody ever got to say goodbye?
That's what will happen if we continue not to care
About our environment and keep polluting the air
Take the time to think of how you'll be hurting us all
By not thinking of details that may seem small
Every little bit together adds up to a lot
Think about that and what others forgot

Would everyone be guilty, caught up in a lie?
To think about how the earth will die...
Insanity???? I think it is sanity that made you write that one. Insanity would have boosted the thought of destruction. Anyway...I think this really good. I love the topic and how you enhance the feeling of helping out the environment in poem. I think this would affect more people than some lame, boring lecture about pollution and stuff like that.
