I remember....

back when I was young....

seeing the love between my daddy and my mom

they'd always hug and tell each-other that they're loved

I've never seen my daddy happier

he'd kiss my mom, then smile and sigh....

I never thought I'd ever see him cry....



when they faught, screamin through the night....

I remember huggin daddy, and holding onto him tight....

I looked up into his eyes....

and between the sobbs, he'd say....

"I love you baby.... It's not your fault" and "you're gunna be okay"



They barely fought.... they got along

mosta the time.... they were just fine....

but every now and again.... it seems as though

they want an end.... but only god knows....

they were meant be.... there together.... here for me....



when they fought, screamin through the night....

I remember huggin daddy, and holding onto him tight....

I looked up into his eyes....

and between the sobbs, he'd say....

"I love you baby.... It's not your fault" and "you're gunna be okay"



He used to tell me....

that I've done nothing wrong....

and that mom's and dad's fight sometimes

there's no'one to blame....

and I shouldn't feel ashamed....

that he and mom may not always be together....

but always there for me....

He'd always been such a strong man....

never wanting me to see his pain....

keeping it all locked inside....

never cryin, or showing he felt the same....

there's only been one other time I've seen him cry....
