"Please forgive me?" 

Could I? Should I? Would I? 

As I gazed into his eyes. 

I knew my reply. 

I placed a finger on his lips. 

To stop his panic…Almost manic. 

"Shhh." I whispered softly. "No more." 

Was it really six months ago, he’d walked out the door? 

I wanted to ask. 

I needed to know. 

Where the hell had he been? 

Where the fuck did he go? 

Was he with her? 

The reason he’d left. 

Back here with me now. 

Did he leave her bereft? 

The angel on my left whispered. 

"Say no more. 

He’s back. Let him stay. 

Don’t make forgiveness a chore." 

The devil on the right decided. 

"No way! Don’t take him back. Don’t you dare let him stay." 

And me in the middle, a smirk on my face. 

"There’s the door babe…Get the fuck out of my place!" 

Revenge is a woman. 

Wearing tight arse jeans. 

Compelled by foreign instincts. 

That for once…She’d be mean! 

I hope you'll all forgive me? 

But instead of feeling sad. 

I turned it round the opposite. 

And ended up...Just mad!
