observing from the shadows

i dwell upon the life

the one once possessed

now dressed in Depression



in the dark i cry and fear

covered in the shame

cheeks moist with the tears

all that life, wasted years



i try for the light

to regain my soul

only to be buried

back in my hole



Love, Hate, Hope and Loss

four letter words that haunt my thoughts

staring beyond the life and light

i lost all hope with this night



resting in the shadows

without hope or love

i retract from the light

and from the life above
