Together at last

If the fire from heaven ever did fall

or frozen becomes the devil's halls

then take into you no fear at this time

just remember anything can be overcome

even if you had no faith before

i'll let you have some of mine

together we stand, divided we fall

the impossible is inevitable

when backed into the corner

surrounded by walls...

The key is to never give up hope

When all seems lost

there we'll be

together at last

banding together

becoming family.

No matter race

nor religion

I'll stand beside you

against impossible odds

we will prevail

force the storm back

and coast with the sail.

then our differences would no longer matter

All the evil and hate would begin to shatter.

our souls then would be complete

knowing that each person is equal,

Unique.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I have no racism in me at all. once when i was little, i entered a broken elavator and the door wouldnt stay open even when pressing on the safety sides so it doesnt cut u in half when in the doorway, An african american man was the only one out of about 20 people in that hall that tried to keep the door open so i could get out when i was screaming because the door wouldnt stay open and i was in there alone waiting for my mom. He i will never forget.

James,
I know I gave you shit about spelling and stuff, but it's important to a piece. Regardless, I am SO happy you finally wrote something out of your usual style. I was going to suggest that you try it and then BAM I read this. I really love this...it's beautiful and the message is powerful. I look forward to more like this. This is a new beginning for your writing, and I have faith that there's wonderful works to come. And by the way, if you really want an editor, don't hesitate to ask. I make mistakes too but it usually takes another eye to catch em!
