Fog shields and protects

Buildings, streets still murmuring

City of refuse

Fetid sickness; past it all

Cleansing river flows

Reflections

A house of mirrors

Seeing faces staring back

But which one is real?

I stare at the glass

Empty face returning gaze

Partners in silence

Author's Notes/Comments:

The first two haiku are about two different cities; San Francisco, the city I fell in love with, and Rochester, a city I know through the eyes of another. The second two deal with loneliness.
