It took 4 seconds for you to end

I watched in disbelief, and slow motion

I never knew you until your last breath

It seems wrong that I was one chosen

to witness your death



I know of no place beyond

of no heaven, of no spirit

Of no burning, eternal bonds

still I fear it

And in that 1 second

you were gone



I could see through your eyes

The black coming closer

What thoughts cross a mind

going over

Do human instincts rule you as well?

Did you know, that it was time

to break another boundary

to pass from hell



I saw fire in someones crackling hands

And ice through rivers of blood

I saw ying yangs formed on trees

Black and white, one retreat and one flood

I saw green splatters of gasoline

In symbolic pools that littered my feet

I saw a fading heart beat



Where are you now, formless energy

Won't you whisper all that is beyond to me

I was afraid for you

Do I have reason to be?



Now I can only sense

the hole you have left

The lack of the will to speak.

the depth and strength,

and cage of a body.

This must be long

Because after 21 years it took

1 second for you to lose

and leave, disappate and be gone



I know of no burning, eternal bonds

of no heaven beyond

Because I am solid, where you are not

We are waiting,

where you have found what you sought



Do you see the tears that flow for you?

Do you know the years that no longer go for you

The fears that no longer rule you

Or maybe they do



I hope for you, that you no longer burn

That you have departed, and to somewhere,

returned

I hope for you, that you are at peace

that you have released, and somewhere,

you can be free
