The Funeral

Folder:
Love

The waves blasted against the hull

the wind howled and hissed,

forcing the man to turn away

He looks out towards the rolling hills of blue and white

knowing that this would be his last time

he whispers into the wind

Without another thought or wish

he stands at attention

wishing the best to his men

and leaving the love of his life

to give him her final embrace.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is for the ones that have lived a good one.

This reminds me of climactic scene in "Glory".
