You are standing in line

Between the freedom of childhood

And the responsibility of growing up.
Your eyes glisten with the warm sun infront
Although it is not yet, and may never be, yours.
A charismatic figure approaches us all
Tilting his hat with the spirited charm

Only possible in a thousand children’s dreams.

He whispers in our ears.

It is easy to find, happiness.
…


Soon the cover of the world is opened before you
But the pages are blank
And the charismatic man was wrong.
 

You are the author of this life
And deserve to know
Happiness is created.
