Very thought provoking. We ask ourselves what is worth sacrificing for freedom. A child? A whole village? 100s of Women and children. Sacrifice the one for the good of the many? Is it better to die a slave or to die free, either way you are just as dead? Down throughout history the price of freedom has come at a high price in human life, those that would rather have one breath of free air than a life time of fear under a dictator-wanting-to-play-god's thumb.

So we return to the question, how much, who, and what are we willing to sacrifice to be free? Freedom is like the air we breath. You blow it into a balloon to hold it captive and keep adding more captives until eventually the balloon bursts. Freedom is an infectuous disease that can not be stopped, once its seed is planted, it starts to grow and is germinated from person to person until those that would hold them down are stretched too thin and the baloon breaks.

May you always have the peace and the freedom you now enjoy, but don't delude yourself ... its price was paid with the blood of patriots and those with a vision and a fire of yearning to be free even if it meant sacrificing their lives and the lives of their families. No greater love hath a man that is willing to lay down his life for his brother.

Sorry, this is not a rebuke. I pray that peaceful settlements of disputes can be accomplished, but it takes both sides of a dispute to hear what the other is saying and come to a common ground and unfortunately, there are those self-important leaders that listen only to themselves and cannot be reasoned with and all leaders tend to do this as they accumulate more power with no other governing bodies to ride herd on them or be able to veto their actions.

Peace and Hugs to you and yours.
