I feel so warm and safe

As I lie with your arms around me.

We are not tired at all,

So we dream in eachothers eyes.

Not wanting to close them,

Afraid of losing sight of the angel staring back.

I wrap my arms around your neck,

And kiss you on the cheek.

Go to sleep now, it's time to go to sleep...

You close your eyes,

And I smile at how peaceful you look.

I kiss you one more time,

Then I begin to drift.



In my dream we're lying on the beach.

The sand is warm through the soft blanket.

Stars sparkle like fireflies high in the sky,

And I make a wish.

I wish for you, that's all.

You and only you, forever.

In my dream we stare up at the black endless sky.

The sound of waves climbing towards our toes is soothing,

Much like the sound of your voice.

It's getting colder, so you hold me tightly.

We fall asleep together.



Suddenly I am woken up,

My mother yells my name and tells me to get out of bed.

I look beside me to see no one there.

You were never really there at all.

I go downstairs cursing the world for being against us.

The phone rings and I hear you voice,

Still crackly from sleep.

We talk about forever and how much we'll enjoy it.

We complain about not getting to see eachother that day.

We say "I love you" ten times,

And then, finally, we say good-bye.

I go upstairs and lie down on my bed,

I roll over and you catch me in your loving arms.

I look into your eyes and see all of me inside of them.

I lean closer and whisper into your ear,

"I'll see you in my dreams."
