Must find a way to climb back up
I'm pretty certain the fault was mine.
Behind the curtain was my own crime.
I'd given the fear the light of day.
And that in itself was my mistake.
It beat me with whips.
It tied me with chains.
It made me feel that I was to blame.
All of this brought me down to my knees.
Alone in my mind were those terrible screams.
I kept the faith, I maintain hope.
Sometimes I pray on tears that I choke.
With salty waters scarred in my skin.
I will not give up, I long to begin.
Take my hand
I'll lift you back onto this ledge
Reach out and I will pull you from the edge
Gain footing on the ground where I now stand
I'll be right here when you reach for my hand

in need of guidance so I don't give up
my arms are tired and my heart's in pain
i can't stop crying as I'm feeling shame

A hero rests
His weary eyes
His angel there right by his side
Somewhere in their paradise
Upon a cloud in heaven's skies
When silence falls, the night is blessed
But somewhere out beyond darkness
Another soul trapped in the mess
A demon's blight upon her chest
The angel looks upon the sky
Already knows it's time to fly
Her hero jumps hands at his side
