Creation of Life

Life is a mystery;

it has a purpose

in God's master plan.

Life is meant

to subdue the earth

and to multiply

was His great command.

Life originated from the creation

of the heaven and of the earth

out from the emptiness

and darkness, He made the light.

When the heaven and the earth were done

God thought of creating a Man

Out in his nostrils

He breathed it LIFE.

HE made him a paradise

to live that he may thrive

A perfect sanctuary

that to God he will glorify.

But one day God saw him sad

Alone with emptiness

his companion was loneliness

in happiness deprived.

God was so creative

HE made him sleep

and out from his rib

Lo, a woman was conceived.

Life from that human creation

Relationship begun

It was dysfunctional too

But God never gave up.

Kingdoms above kingdoms

Nations upon nations

Lands over the lands

Under the heaven, Life fills the earth.

Then God saw of Man's imperfections

Corruptions and flaws too many

A man's erring ways prevailed

HIS rage in flood bestowed.

God was sad to see His creation gone

HE made a colourful rainbow ark;

A promise of a Covenant

signed between HIM and man,

that Life will grow again.

So HE sent His only Son

HIS beloved begotten SON

Conceived by the Holy Spirit.

Sent to save this world.

Life has a happy beginning

Sadly it has a sad ending.

Life begins with laughter

Yet it ends in tears.

It starts with exceeding joy.

And finishes in sorrow.

Life is God's breath

It is taken away in death.

sorrow at death is only for those alive for those who have passed on no longer know sorrow or pain so I don't agree death is only sorrow. Those grieve grieve from the void of not having the individual any more but don't think beyond that to a point that in the great vast beyond who knows what awaits us when its our turn...
