~A Lady DJ~

Spinning the wheel alone in the console with shelf

There's no one there but the tech and myself

What a lonely time for a job like mine

Pretending to be happy when my mood doesn't shine.

The line is hot for my callers' request

"Please play my song", my favourite tune's best

Smiles I cannot hide when they ask for a date

My time is not mine on the job I take a seat.

That scene I can recall with tongue in cheek

I really hate to revisit those freak

Memory of mine of that night owl shift

The show must go on, a cliche I fret!

Just look at it this way, keep pad of paper handy to write on, take notes on caller request of why they want a certain song till you have a long list and like most requested titles the write a piece on it. I think you will find most requests are to express and energy one feels, a heart touching time, or love to another person. Yes,some may want to do jabs or show anger but I think most song requests are to express positive emotion. It's the common everyday things we should note because there are many profound subtle messages if we observe and listen..
