Sweetly In Your Arms

In your arms at midnight

Another year begins.

a new life, a new beginning

soon be shared in time.

Darling, the fireworks we watch

Is right here in our own eyes

Sparkling and glowing

Flying sparks and passion rings.

Who can tell this will be true?

We are only strangers far apart

Divided by distance as miles impart

When love murmurs and takes headstart.

Sweetly in your arms I rest

As you fold me gently in your nest

The tender nestling on your chest

I hear our melodious heartbeat race.

Flying like comets in the sky

wilder than ecstasy swiftly flow

the unspoken words of devotion and love

expressly interpreted by actions prove.
